Our Story

Alchemy Studios & Labs was founded by a team of experienced educators who wanted to create learning experiences that honor students’ curiosity, identity, and lived context.

After several years of learning, partnership-building, and school design work, we shifted our focus from founding a traditional school to launching Alchemy Unbound — an after-school program grounded in the philosophy of Big Picture Learning’s B-Unbound model.

This Spring, Alchemy is operating as a learning lab: testing and refining interest-driven approaches to learning, documenting what works, and contributing insights back to the field.
